Not surprisingly the area is rich with history dating right back into the Palaeolithic era - with fossils, cave paintings and sites of interest throughout Andalucia all waiting to be discovered! There is also plenty of local art and crafts, and you can easily immerse yourself in Andalucian culture by visting one of the many ruins in the wooded mountains, or having a look through one of the museums just off the winding, flower-filled backstreets in many of the historical old towns and port areas.
